One day I decided it was time to turn my life around and do something more positive and productive with myself, so I turned to the army. I signed up as an infantryman (11B) and gladly signed the dotted line without being offered a bonus or anything, I didn’t (and still don’t) care too much for the bonus as much as a structured lifestyle and being a part of something greater than myself.

After graduating OSUT (Fort Benning, GA) I returned home on about a week and a half leave where I had orders to report to Fort Drum, NY. When I had came home my family broke the news to me about my grandmother and grandfather having cancer and basically being very ill, which I felt for but didn’t know what to do. Upon returning home I just noticed how everything pretty much fell apart while I was gone… My grandfather’s auto-repair shop went downhill, laundry/dishes and basic cleanup was no longer being taken care of at my home, and my sister was inconsistent with school. I decided not to report on my assigned report day at Fort Drum, and instead stayed home to take care of my family while being AWOL. Before I had made this decision I had made several post on several military oriented websites, and for the most part was told that the army would turn their back on me as I was just a Private and they wouldn’t care about my family problems. Anyways, my lawyer ended up getting the charge dropped to non-violent because they were in fact non-violent, and later on was granted Shock at Monterey Incarceration Correctional (a 6-Month military style program which puts you on parole upon graduating)

I graduated back in March of 2009, completed a drug program (mandatory even if you have never used), as well as a Work Skill Workshop Course (Something like that, basically a few classes to teach you about interviews and basic as well as advanced means of getting your hands on a job). Up to now I have also never missed my curfew (9PM), never missed a day of work nor have I failed any drug/alcohol tests. I am very regretful for my decision of going AWOL to "take care of my family", which honestly I later realized wasn’t much better than if I had attempted to "take care" of them from where I was stationed, I guess I was just young and not thinking clearly (I still am young, but I mean mentally I feel as though I have a greater level of maturity then I once had.

I’m just trying to find out if there is any possibility at all for me to re-enlist, I feel as though it would be a great opportunity for me to get my life together as well as redeem myself and right and wrongs. As it stands I was thinking of getting together 12-14 college credits, writing a letter to the President (I actually don’t know if they all ever get read or even considered, but I’m going to try everything), writing a letter to a congressman/woman, visiting a local recruiting office almost everyday to see if waivers are being granted as it changes almost on a daily basis, getting in touch with my captain and 1st sergeant back in Fort Drum for the temporary unit I was assigned to, and uh… plenty PT

I figure if I seriously stick to this, and show them that I am not a lost cause and I will not be a shit bird or problem soldier maybe they will take a chance on me. I’m honestly scared to post this for fear that I might get a few replies saying I will never be able to be back in, but what have I got to loose.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, I was 18 at the time of the felony.
I know as of right now waivers are not being granted due to quotas being met, but there is no way to be able to get 2 waivers?

I’m willing to wait, go to school for a year or two, what ever it takes, I just feel like it’s the only place I really belong and had something going for me.

I want a Sidekick 4G really bad, but I have to have a plan on AT&T. I have to start on AT&T, too because it is really hard to terminate your plan on T-mobile. The problem is, because I’m getting a phone without the plan, it will be really costly. Also, I’m not quite sure if the phone will be unlocked if I get it without the plan. And since I won’t be a T mobile customer, I can’t call them or anything for the unlock code, right? So is there anyway I can pull this off?

1) Can I start off on AT&T, is there any way? can anybody tell me their strategy??

2)Can I still ask T mobile for the unlock code, even if I haven’t started a plan with them?? Is there any other way to unlock the phone if it doesn’t come unlocked?

3)If I can do any of this, will I still be able to use full features on the Sidekick?

Also, excuse me because I don’t know a lot about cell phones. I’ve done all the research I can. If you could include links to the websites you did your research on, that would be nice.

I used to live in that Area(Plymouth, Zellwood, Apopka, Sorrento-FLORIDA) and loved it there on the Lake County/Orange County line in the "country setting". We moved about 16 years ago about 2 hours away. Here we have what you call a "Pennysaver" that is a free paper delivered or pickup at little stores and it is free. It is where you find all the reasonable jobs, rentals, for sale ads all that. I looked at the website and they do not have one that covers that area. The Orlando Sentinel is really expensive to advertise in so there has to be some alternative that people put rentals and stuff in. I have a job offer that finally allows me to get back to living in that area but now I have no idea where to look to find a place to move to. The thing about living there was it was alot less expensive and had the nurseries and the "country" feel to the area. I want something simple a small home without being right next door or even a Mobile home type rental(we even lived on a horse ranch in one of the "ranch worker" houses when I was in high school and lived there and it was great I helped out in the stables for part of the rent. The thing is I do not even see an area close on Craigslist for that area and we want to move soon. If anyone lives over in that area and has any ideas on where to look for rentals please give me some input! Thanks, this is a move that I think will finally make me happy the job is great but the pay is not so much but I figured that living cost would be a little less there so I am hoping for some help! So I was working for this guy – Gregory D. Evans. He gave me an iphone to do work with – I was building WordPress websites for mobile phones/devices. I worked from home, and was rarely in the office (hence the need to take it home). I never signed any papers saying he gave me the property.

Anyway, a paycheck was late, and he fired me on Tuesday (I was supposed to get my check on a friday) because I didn’t do any work over the weekend, and I told his asst. I was going to have to start looking for another job. I blew up on him, because he kept yelling at me…

The man has a huge history of accusing people and suing people to intimidate… only difference he is trying to get me arrested for theft by taking (i’m assuming it’s b/c I haven’t returned the iPhone and I voiced myself about his illegal activity like stealing RSS feeds). He owes me nearly 1,500 dollars (3 weeks worth of work). I called the hour and wage division, and they got in contact with him. However, he never paid me like he told them he would, and they told me now I have to take him to civil court. Pointless, because he doesn’t pay anything.

Meanwhile, I was posting on twitter that he never paid me. I told his asst. that I would bring the iPhone when i got my paycheck, since it’s like… 2 hours away. I said that I would mail it in, and she said that Greg wouldn’t like that. When I told him I was coming to drop it off at the office and pick up the check, his asst. told me I wasn’t allowed at the office.

I talked with someone on twitter about what was going on at the office. There is a lot of hatred for this man, and this person turned around and edited the conversation. After that happened, apparently, this is when he went to go try and have a warrant taken out on me.

I got a letter in the mail saying that I need to show up at the Gwinett county courthouse on Sept. 15th. My question… can I be charged with Theft by Taking if I never took anything, but rather.. didn’t give something back (my reasoning is because he owes me 1,500 bucks I probably will never see)? This man gave me the iPhone to work with, and the only reason I haven’t given it back is because I am still waiting on my paycheck…. he owes over 11 million dollars in civil suits… and has filed nearly 10 civil lawsuits… none of them having won.

I didn’t steal anything… I just haven’t given it back yet. The asst. says that I needed to return all equipment before I got a check,… that it was in my pre employment paperwork. I never got a copy of my pre employment paperwork and have been trying to obtain a copy of it since I started working there (because of this exact reason..). When I told her I didn’t know what the paperwork said, she asked if I read it… yea… I read it, but it was like… 15 pages long!

Any advice? Is this something I should hire a lawyer for? I don’t have much money… and feel like if I show the proof of past failed civil lawsuits (he is also a felon… for stealing 1800 numbers from AT&T).
