And I’m wondering if this low of RAM will be a problem to make it wireless?? But "if not", I’d like to know what companies (ISP’s) are out there to subscribe to wireless Internet service? "Preferrably not" wifi or for hotspots only… I want web access no matter where I go.

Ive been using a horrible phone service for a few years which cell phones only last for few months. Ive already had about 4 phones broken. Never dropped them, never been abused, no scratches. Thinking it was because i got the cheap phones i thought it would be smart to buy a 0 samsung phone and it only lasted for less than 2 months…. A pay about a month. I just started two jobs and now i have a bit more cash with me.

I love the iphone an ive tried other advanced touch screen phones but still like the iphone.

So my question is… How much would it cost me to buy me an 8gb iphone with just the contract? How much would i pay monthly on average? Im not that much of a heavy texter. I text about 30 a day and 10 mins a day on phone. I live in south florida.

I curse the day when I bought this cell – Nokia E71. I dont know (yet) any short way (without having to go deep into settings) to change the ringing option of my cell phone from "ringing" to "silent" or "vibrating"… Every other cell phone in this world has a button with it which can quickly enable to change the ringing options of your mobile (when u are in a meeting or lets say in a movie)… I dont want to go into settings everytime to do that. One of these days I am going to smash this phone on a road. Please let me know if you know how to do it. Please be aware its Nokia E71, so please dont gimme solutions which are for Nokia E72 or other models, because I know those would not work.

This cell is height of non sense. It does not automatically recognize which wi-fi to use (there seems to be no way where I can tell this dumb device to use only my home or office wi-fi) to access web pages. For every single web site and on every single occasion this will ask me to select the service from a long list of defined (including its own Media Net) access points. This is so yukk to use in this time. Apple was so good. Why why did I loose it.

A retired Illinois State Police trooper who admitted viewing ch ild por nography on a state-issued laptop computer while sitting in his squad car supposedly looking for speeding motorists was sentenced today to 60 days in the DuPage County Jail.
Juan Rodriguez, 51, of Glen Ellyn, a 27-year veteran of the Illinois State Police, pleaded guilty today to official misconduct and possession of chi ld po rnography. He is to begin serving his sentence later this year following the completion of a s ex offender evaluation.

Assistant State’s Attorney Helen Kapas Erdman told Judge George Bakalis that Rodriguez’s name first appeared in connection with chi ld po rnography during a 2003 federal investigation into ch ild po rnography sites, and then again in 2008 when another federal investigation showed him viewing ch ild po rnography sites and using a personal credit card to pa y $ 99 to join a website.

The investigation led back to the defendant’s state-issued laptop, which he used while he was on duty for Illinois State Police District 15, the tollway division. He was assigned to an overtime detail designed to run traffic patrols.

"He was using the ISP mobile data computer in his squad to view and download these images," Kapas Erdman said.

"He claimed to have his interest sparked by newspaper articles and he wanted to see what the big deal was," she said. Bakalis was told that Rodriguez looked at the websites two or three times a year over six years.

Bakalis also sentenced Rodriguez to 30 months of s ex offender probation and ordered him to register for life as a c hild s ex offender and pay a ,000 fine.

"He denies ever having tou ched a ch ild in a s exual manner," said Brian Telander, defense attorney. "He is a decorated Navy veteran."

Rodriguez retired from the state police before he was charged in 2009, but was aware of the investigation.

Rodriguez declined comment today.

"He claimed he was bored on the overtime shift and the obsession overcame him," Kapas Erdman told Bakalis. "He claims it sparked his interest, but not sexual desire. However, he did claim he would view them at times before having relations with his girlfriend."

The defendant has no previous criminal record and faced up to five years in prison. Kapas Erdman said he is expected to lose his pension because of a felony conviction

I listed an item for sale on Craigs List, and I got an email just a day or so later asking if I still had the item. I replied that I did still have the item, and the person said that he/she was interested in buying the item and wanted it shipped to him/her. I kinda thought that sounded weird, but this was only the second time I’ve ever had any dealings with selling on Craigs List so I thought maybe it wasn’t that unusual. Anyway, he/she wanted my name, address, and cell phone number so that he/she could send me the check (I guess the cell phone number was to contact me for any troubles). Anyway, I didn’t think anything of it, so I replied with all of that information. Then he/she replied back stating the his/her bank "accidentally" drafted a check in the amount of 00 (the item i am selling was only 0), and that he/she couldn’t cancel the transaction for whatever reason. Anyway, he/she said that when I get the check to go ahead and cash it and deduct the cost of the item plus 0 for "my troubles" and then Western Union the remainder to some courier of his/her that will then get the money back to him/her. Anyway, upon this last email I immediately knew that this was a scam. I am very worried, though, that this person now has my name, address, and cell phone number. I contacted my local police department and sherriff’s office, but they can’t do anything unless a "crime" has been committed (very frustrating that law enforcement protects scum like this and lets us naive and innocent people to wait to be victemized…the laws are so screwed up).

Has anyone else had any issues with this sort of thing and if so should I be worried? What should I do? What can I do?

I am also worried that this person could hack into my computer system and steal information, as I do my banking and stuff like that online. Could this be a possibility also? Or is this just some person who preys on the naive and hopes that they cash fraudulent checks? This is the first time I’ve ever had anything like this happen to me and I’m very worried. Just saw a TV ad by VISA (credit card) showing a bunch folks buying papers, bagel and stuff in NYC by ‘quick swapping’ their VISA, the idea is to promote how fast a VISA transcation can be nowaday….
And I was like…what the….why are we so late on this? I know Hong Kong/Japan/Koren already had this kind of ‘card’ or speed device’ 5-6 years ago and they stopped carring cash around for a long time already.

It started last Christmas, when I got a camcorder. I got my dad a digital camera because I noticed that he wanted one and he went out and bought me a 0 camcorder. Next, in february I got my cell phone. My dad’s cell phone plan was ending and there was a deal buy one get one free so my dad’s asked me if I wanted one and I thought he was joking so I said sure. In 30 minutes, I had a brand new limited edition Motorola KRZR K1 red. I was happy cuz I wanted a cell phone since I was 10 (now I’m 14). So now he pays like a month for the plan. Two weeks later, we were looking at printers (yes, my dad and I are really into electronics), and I realized that color laser printers print really well. I’ve had a color inkjet all my life and my dad has a black and white laser so I wanted to get it. I didn’t tell my dad that I want it, but he was like, "o, look at the quality" "wow, its amazing".
After a week and a half or so, my dad came home with a big box, and he’s like, "look what I got for you" I opened it and I’m like "you’re kidding" and he said he got it on sale cuz it costs like 0 WITHOUT ink (each toner aka cartridge costs and there’s 4 of them) and he got it for 0 WITH the ink included. So, we plugged it in and I got a new printer.
In March, I wanted a Nintendo DS. And this is the thing I actually begged for for a month. When my dad’s friend told him that his son bought himself one, my dad thought it might actually be a good gaming system. So by the end of March, I was once again happy with another toy.
My confirmation came in May, and my dad spent 0-0 for the party.
There’s a European tradition that children get gifts on June 1st. I got 0, because my dad thought I would need the money for my trip to Poland, so I wouldn’t have to ask my grandparents for stuff. I wanted to give him back the money, but he told me that if I didn’t want it i could throw it in the garbage. (Of course I didn’t do that)
When I went to Poland, my grandparents locked up the money and told me that they would give it back to me when I returned home to Canada, and I would give it back to my dad (how?)

My dad took me to Future Shop a few days before my birthday (August) and it turned out that the MacBooks were on sale, and came with a free package worth 0. So, I payed for half my birthday present and I was really happy that my dad didn’t have to pay the full price.
Now, I feel really bad, cuz I asked for an iPhone for Christmas and we are REALLY short on money (actually, we always were but now we are even more), so I don’t really want it anymore, because I already have a cell phone and and iPod.
My dad got himself a GPS for Christmas, as if he knew he couldn’t expect anything from anyone else. I had saved up, so I got my dad a tie for Christmas and told him to choose whichever one he wanted.
What should I do? I feel so bad that my dad gets me a bunch of stuff, when I can barely get him a tie. I wanted to get him a GPS last year, but decided on a digital camera because our old one was really bad.
I know my dad loves me and I love him too, not for the stuff he gets me, but because he’s my dad. He works really hard and he’s the only one who works for us, because my mom died when I was like, 2 years old and I don’t want my dad to get me anything anymore, cuz we need the money for other things.

I just installed the newest version of itunes. When ever I attempt to burn a playlist it will burn all the song and at the last moments when it is "finalizing" it stops and give me an error message.

PLEASE someone help me!!!!!

I have a 5, almost 6 month old puppy named Goober. He’s pretty bad, he has chewed up 2 cell phone chargers, an alarm clock, a webcam and other things, which I’ve yelled at him and said no, and didnt give him any attention to let him know he did something wrong. Well he’s been much better with it, especially since Ive bought him a whole bunch of toys. Well I came home yesterday (lately we’ve kept him out – only because the crate we got him is a pop out one so he makes it collapse on himself from trying to get out and he has to lay all day) and he chewed through the carpet. Theres a hole about the size of a baseball out of the carpet now. My boyfriend is PISSED. He even put an ad on craigslist and said we’re getting rid of him. After begging him, hes giving me one more chance. I do admitt Ive slacked on getting him housebroken and trained on what not to do. Im willing to definitely get on the ball now and get him papertrained for when we are not home (hes a little dog, cant hold it all day) and trained to go outside for when we are home. Whats the best method on how to start? How can I get him to stop chewing up stuff? Does dog obedience classes really work? any advice would be great, thanks!

I am a popular mobile phone network customer and I am on a sim only contract but my contract has ended and this agreement is running on. My husband got a brand new smart phone which was avalible to him for £45 upfront and £35 per month contact for 24 months. I looked under my account online and I had two options I could upgrade handset & contract for this model and I would need to pay three times my current package price per month. There was another option for me to upgrade on a hanset only when I clicked this link there was a selection of very cheap outdated phones and there was the smartfone my husband has and it said there was no cost. Now I am a little pessimistic as this is an expensive phone and offered to me now on a 12 month contract for £11 per month! I phone the company to check but they never answered my question and there only interest was to extend my contract by two years for treble the price when I mention the online offer they keep stating that there may be a glitch in there system, when I refuse to extend my contract that far or agree to the expensive tariff they then say well it’s sold out anyway….I decided to check out with the online offer and have recieved three emails to say thankyou for my order my phone was free and my contact was £11 per month and extended for 12 months (no problem) the next e-mail states the same information but that my order was confirmed and the final e-mail was a tracking number stating that my phone would be with me today. Now it all seems a little to good to be true…..my question is where do I stand when I recieve it can they say it’s been an error and I have to return it/pay the full price of the handset/up my current package/extend my contract or am I able to say that I agreed to my upgrade online and that the phone was free and the contract was for a term and amount I agreed on at the time?
I work in retail and I know that if a product is mistakenly priced below value and the product is as named then the customer has to pay the price agreed (lower value advertised) as you can not say well it’s actually twice that price you can’t buy it or pay the full price, does that apply in this circumstance am I entitled to what I have agreed upon?

I lost my cell phone about 3 days ago and I have looked EVERYWHERE!!! But i can’t find it! My conclusions are taht I lost it in the house or I lost it at the store. Though we went to the lost and found at the store 4 times and no one has reported a missing phone yet. My phone died so there is no way of calling it now. I don’t want to cancel my phone service but my mom wants to. What should i do? IS there a web site or phone number that helps you track down your phone? Like, it would be so freakin awesome if there was a website where you could just type in the phone number and area code and then it would show a map or location of where the phone is. I looked at the GPS stuff but I heard that it only works on phones that are on. Please help me!!! Is there a web or phone number that can help me? This phone is very dear to me and was very special. It had my best moments on there and was also very expensive. Please just take that time to answer this question. I have T-Mobile by the way.
