microsoft smartphones
When can we expect the next verizon smartphone with the new windows mobile 7?

I read that microsoft is developing their new OS for smartphones and I would like to know when can we expected. Because I have verizon I’m interested in seen what can we expect for the next windows OS now that everyone is fighting to get the attention of the buyers.

you can expect it later this year. You should expect the normal application that come standard with wm like word, ect. But they most likely will have a more interactive phone with other programs/machines. More display options or more customizable futures. Almost every phone that have wm has a shell running on top of it because they don’t like it (it’s boring). They most likely are working to make it more stable. If they master that then you can have any app for the phone.

newest smartphones
AH! I heard AT&T is forcing a Data plan onto all new smartphones and blackberries… help..?

I am in the market for either the Nokia E71x or the BLackberry Curve 8900, but i would not be getting the data plan….. The Rule is in effect starting September 6th, and i was planning on getting the phone in late september. Can i buy the phone at the unsubsidized price (299.99 or 449.99) and not have to get the data plan and not renew my contract?

That question has not been addressed in any of the articles todate. However, given AT&T’s rationale for the new requirement, it’s likely that the data plan will be required regardless of where you bought the phone.
